Mandrill is one of the most progressive, eclectic and expansive funk outfits birthed in the 70s. The group’s jam-heavy brand of funk is liberally infused with Latin and Caribbean rhythms, jazz, blues, psychedelia, African rhythms, and rock. Its freewheeling approach influenced the Parliament-Funkadelic collective, and its music has been sampled by many of today’s popular hip-hop acts. It’s a night of funky, in-the-groove dance music.
