Cheng-Chieh Yu’s imaginative solo choreography for Dancing Mother Courage explores the themes of feminism and martiality, questioning women’s roles and relationships to martial cultures. There Is An Elephant In This Solo is Lionel Popkin’s rich and contradictory work that offers metaphors on identity and what truly lies beneath – all performed in a fluidly bulky elephant costume. Award-winning author Bruce Bauman’s staged reading accompanied by female voice brings to life the written word.
Please note: Mature content and strong language in some performances.
COLA Fellowship performances are part of the Department of Cultural Affairs’ Cultural Grant Program.
