NOTE: Cal Plaza Watercourt is under construction.
Pack a picnic with as much food as you can carry! Choose to dine-in or carry-out from several on-site restaurants. An on-site bar will be set up on select evenings but please leave your personal alcoholic beverages at home. Please consume responsibly, and refer to posted signs on the plaza for restrictions. For the safety of those around you, please leave glassware at home. Restrooms are available. There is no alcohol or smoking allowed on California Plaza.
Seating is open and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis starting two hours before performance unless otherwise noted. Individuals are allowed to reserve up to six (6) seats – they just have to be present the entire time. Do not leave any items or bags unattended as they will be confiscated. Blankets and low backed chairs are welcome as long as they don’t block designated walking, dancing or wheelchair areas. Disabled seating is available on the lower plaza. Reserved seats as well as access to special lounges and artist meet-and- greets are available by becoming a Grand Performances member. For more info, go to www.grandperformances.org/membership. Regardless of where you sit, please bring whatever makes you comfortable for a 2+ hour show – be it blankets, pillows, cushions, jackets or even snuggies!
Please do not leave any items or bags unattended, as they will be confiscated.
Due to remodeling of Watercourt Stage and the Marina Pavilion Amphitheater, Grand Performances is not presenting events at California Plaza’s Watercourt.
Performances are staged on the WaterCourt Stage which sits in the middle of the California Plaza water fountain or the adjacent Marina Pavilion Amphitheater. Audience capacity is 5,000+ people spread out on the upper and lower levels surrounding the fountain. There are 350 amphitheater seats and 800 chairs on the lower plaza. Additionally, dozens of benches dot both levels of the concourse. For more intimate performances, only the Amphitheater stage and seating will be used. See Events schedule for details. Blankets and low backed chairs are welcome as long as they don’t block designated walking, dancing or wheelchair areas. A special parking event rate of $10 is available 90 minutes before listed show times.
While service dogs are welcome at California Plaza, we kindly ask that you keep your dogs, cats, and all other pets at home.
