On Saturday July 31, GP will celebrate DEEP’s 21st Anniversary with an all-day dance party featuring Marques Wyatt, Jeremy Sole, Big Cee and Juliet Mendoza.
DEEP is nothing short of a phenomenon driving the dance music scene in Los Angeles and beyond. For 21 years, DEEP has prided itself on procuring and presenting the finest electronic music DJs and artists from around the world. August 7 - Dilla Fest ft. Talib Kweli
The Saturday event with Fusicology will commemorate 15 Years of Dilla’s Donuts with special guest DJs and live performances by Talib Kweli with a live trio along with Frank N Dank with Illa J and The Beat Junkies DJ crew. Grammy winner Daru Jones will also serve as Music Director and drummer.

J Dilla aka James Yancey, Jay Dee 1974-2006 Stones Throw began working with J Dilla in the early days of his solo career in the early 2000s. He would soon collaborate with Madlib in the group Jaylib, and eventually releasing the solo album Donuts on Stones Throw in 2006, which has come to be regarded as one of his signature works. J Dilla passed away on the morning of February 10th, 2006 at the age of 32. He had suffered for over three years with an incurable blood disease, and had also been diagnosed with lupus. He left behind a body of work which will be loved and rediscovered for years to come.
