UPDATE (June 26, 2014) – Deeply respectful of cultural traditions and disciplined in careful research, Quantic will bring a mixed program of his extant repertoire, a tribute to Cesaria’s everlasting legacy, and Lusophone narratives with an ensemble of L.A.-based musicians, including Thalma Neris de Freitas.

UPDATE (June 19, 2014) – The Cape Verde-based musicians behind the “Spirit of Cesaria” have cancelled their North American tour. On their behalf, we apologize to the Barefoot Diva’s legions of local fans who were looking forward to an evening that honored her impact on world music.
