About Grand Ave Arts: All Access
On October 19 from 11am to 4pm, institutions along Grand Avenue open their doors to visitors of all ages for a day of free workshops, performances, tours, and interactive events. Explore art, music, dance, literature, and more: all events are free and open to the public, rain or shine.
Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles
For over 40 years, the Chorus has built an international reputation for musical excellence while remaining deeply rooted in service to the Los Angeles community. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “one of the last important links to a glorious tradition in music,” GMCLA has more than doubled in size to over 300 members, added professional and artistic staff, toured nationally and internationally, released fifteen CDs, commissioned more than 300 new works and arrangements and appeared frequently on national television. The Chorus membership donates over 60,000 volunteer hours annually to make GMCLA’s mission of musical excellence and community partnership a reality.
HOLA Intergenerational Music Program
The Eisner Intergenerational Choir is a unique choral ensemble. Fostering community and camaraderie through the joy of choral singing, the choir provides an environment that embraces inclusivity and friendship across generations.
The Heart of Los Angeles Eisner Intergenerational Music Program convenes singers, big band, and orchestral musicians of all ages across intermediate and advanced skill levels. Participants get to express their creativity, expand their musical repertoire, and perform free community concerts at landmark venues across Los Angeles for all to enjoy.
Follow them on instagram at @HOLA_EIM to stay up to date on concerts and join the community!
Urban Voices Project
Rooted in Skid Row through music, community, and openhearted inclusion of the most marginalized members of society, Urban Voices Project amplifies artistic expression to improve well being, strengthen social networks, and inspire individuals to be their own best advocates.
