Iranian-born Hamed Nikpay learned to sing at the age of seven, encouraged by his mother who loved Persian music and poetry. Now regarded as one of Iran’s foremost vocalists, Nikpay’s mesmerizing voice and gripping musicianship come to Grand Performances for an emotive evening of Iranian melodies, complemented by inspired dancers.
This evening of fusion is performed by vocalist Hamed Nikpay & ensemble and under the musical direction of Farzin Farhadi.
