Ian Ruskin’s riveting one-man play about charismatic and controversial longshoreman-turned-Union leader Harry Bridges is an intimate, bitingly funny exploration into the dramatic life, times and struggles of a man whose legacy is better known than his name. Bridges’ blue-collar history – which spans the depression-area politics, red-scare, and nascent globalization of the 30s, 40s and 50s – shines a light on the issues of immigration, prejudice, and corporate responsibility we face today.
