SOULNIC Live celebrates the 40th anniversary of House music with a free, family-friendly special event at Grand Performances featuring DJs WeirdoWithSoul and Roxcizzle, plus a live performance by Tortured Soul.
Presented by The Soulnic Foundation, SOULNIC Live celebrates diversity, inclusion, and unity through music. Hosted by resident emcee and deejay, KG Superstar, with resident deejay Drack Muse spinning a feel-good mix of global dance music from Chicago House to Amapiano, Afrobeats, and beyond.
SOULNIC Music Festival was founded in 2010 by a collective, known as Extra Mild Sauce, who wanted to create a free day at the park for family and friends. SOULNIC has been celebrated by thousands annually, showcasing the global expansion of House music and its ability to bring people together through diversity, inclusion, and unity.
Being produced by The Soulnic Foundation, since 2022, SOULNIC Music Festival features a curated mix of dance music from Chicago House to Amapiano, Afrobeats, and beyond, aiming to create an inclusive atmosphere where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to enjoy the unifying power of music. Since its inception, SOULNIC has become a staple in the Los Angeles music scene, attracting a diverse crowd of music enthusiasts, families, and dance lovers.
Born in Barbados, KG SuperStar brings the rhythmic and vibrant pulse of the Caribbean to his music. After moving to New York as a teenager, he was exposed to many of the music industry's finest musicians and performers, which influenced his production, vocal abilities, and diverse DJ sets.
KG is a well-traveled and gifted Master of Ceremonies known globally as "The Voice of a Great Time" for his ability to connect with people and elevate live performances. He currently holds residencies around Los Angeles, including his latest curation "Utopia" at Mama Shelter in Hollywood.
Drack Muse is an international DJ who has left a positive impression in both mainstream and underground music communities. While in college, he created a legendary "invitation-only" hip-hop night that was exclusive and almost always sold out. This led to a career in radio and at Universal Music Group in Los Angeles.
He has performed at countless high-profile events around the globe, including Essence Fest, Amsterdam Dance Event, NBA All-Star, and Super Bowl Weekend events, and opened for iconic artists like Prince, Stevie Wonder, and DMX. Drack is also a co-founder and Creative Director at SOULNIC and Extra Mild Sauce.
DJ WeirdoWithSoul, known as "The Vibe Curator," is a talented DJ and producer based in Los Angeles. With a passion for global sounds and a knack for crafting electrifying sets, she brings a unique blend of House, Amapiano, Afrobeats, and timeless classics to the stage.
Honing her skills under the guidance of esteemed DJs Mr. Choc and DJ Babu of The Beat Junkies, WeirdoWithSoul has developed a signature style that keeps dance floors moving. Her versatility and ability to read the room allow her to create immersive musical experiences that resonate with diverse audiences at various events and venues.
Tortured Soul is a collective of internationally acclaimed musicians united by a shared passion for groove-centered, soulful house music. Fronted by the multi-talented drummer and vocalist John-Christian Urich, the band delivers electrifying live performances that showcase their signature blend of deep, modern, and soulful house.
Drawing inspiration from the classic sounds of Prince, Heatwave, and Kool & The Gang, Tortured Soul's music also embraces contemporary influences from house music pioneers and nu-disco artists. Roxcizzle is a talented South African DJ known for her alluring selection of soulful, uplifting, deep, and afro-house tunes. With an extensive knowledge of the music industry, Roxcizzle's sets create an enchanting atmosphere that captivates crowds, keeping them dancing at both day and nighttime events.
Her passion for music led her to pursue DJing, and over the years her sets have evolved in a way that showcases her love for deep, percussive afro house grooves. Roxcizzle's background in entertainment has given her a unique perspective allowing her to provide musical experiences that are spiritual, infectious, and resonate with diverse audiences across multiple continents.
