GP Benefit Concert: Lea DeLaria Sings Bowie
Known as “Big Boo” on the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black, Lea DeLaria brings her loving tribute to David Bowie to the WaterCourt stage for a benefit concert supporting Grand Performances programming. The multitalented comedian, singer and two-time SAG Award-winning actress reworks the David Bowie catalog for the Los Angeles premiere of the critically-acclaimed showstopper.

Troker, Kneedelus
The collaboration between the instrumental quintet Kneebody and electronic musician Daedelus had its initial roots planted as far back as high school for old friends saxophonist Ben Wendel and Alfred Darlington. The pair’s early musical kinship in southern California seeded a connection that grew through numerous collaborations, recordings and live performances over the years coming to fruition in an improvised performance in 2009 at “Jazz A Vienne” between their two primary music vehicles – Kneebody and Daedelus.
