Grand Performances is pleased to announce the annual Gala will take place at 350 S Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday September 23 and will honor the organization’s Founding Executive Director Michael Alexander and will feature a live musical tribute to Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

The Board of Directors of Grand Performances is pleased to announce the appointment of Mari Riddle to the position of Executive Director for Grand Performances. Ms. Riddle will replace Michael Alexander who will retire after nearly 30 years of service.

For its 30th anniversary season, Grand Performances presents Evolución L.A.tino, an exploration of Latino and Chicano culture, power, influence and experiences from a local and global perspective through music, theater, film, culinary arts, and expert panels/lectures.

For its 30th anniversary Grand Performances has a special line-up of free, family-friendly concerts and activities on Sunday afternoons as part of its season.
