Donors will also enjoy free validated parking at 351 S Olive Street (just take the parking stub from the machine instead or paying the attendant upfront and our staff will validate you upon showing proof of donation to Pauly’s Project).

Kelly Finnigan

Kelly Finnigan, a versatile California-born artist, is renowned as a producer, singer, songwriter, musician, and engineer. As the front man for Monophonics, he brings a hands-on approach to his trademark soul sound, guiding every recording from conception at his studio, Transistor Sound, to the record pressing plant, providing a unique voice in soul music. He combines the essence of golden-era soul and R&B with a timeless quality, crafting honest and authentic records. His partnership with Terry Cole of Colemine Records has been pivotal to his success, and his influence on the current soul movement is unmatched.

ANDRE CRUZ & CHRIS LUJAN

“Bay Area Soul With a Heavy Heart”, Andre Cruz and Chris Lujan are “The Real Thing”! Dishing up their unique recipe of fuzz-heavy, groove-infused, crooning sweet soul and funk that’ll either lay you out with a heavy heart or have you shaking what yo’ mama gave ya!

Releasing "The Real Thing", which many are calling the "Album of the Year" for 2022, having sold out of their first three vinyl 45 releases, and playing sold-out shows at legendary venues alongside the likes of Lee Fields & Thee Sacred Souls, Andre Cruz & Chris Lujan are bringing their own Bay Area fire to the stage.

Backed by The Black Diamond Rhythm Band, Cruz and Lujan bring a unique flavor with their fuzz heavy, grooveinfused California soul. They will touch your heart with crooning, sweet soul and light up the dance floor with explosive funkiness.

The band is the product of the collaboration between vocalist/songwriter Andre Cruz and producer/bandleader Chris Lujan.

Cruz - an energetic, joyful performer with Donny Hathaway meets Stevie Wonder vocal stylings and Lujan - a fixture in the Bay Area soul/funk scene, are backed by the Black Diamond Rhythm Band, which features members of some of the Bay Area's best soul & funk bands.

Look for "The Real Thing" in stores now and be on the lookout for their upcoming LP "Heart Full Of Love" as well as a number of vinyl 45s to come out in the near future.

About Hello Stranger

The Hello Stranger Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cultural organization working to provide groups and individuals in local Los Angeles communities with skill development rooted in sociocultural relevance.

We seek out those that are the most vulnerable or under-serviced and those that are willing to go out and serve, to then foster a growing cycle of symbiotic evolution.

About Pauly’s Project

Paul Avila’s son, Pauly, born blind and autistic, could only be calmed with the sound of music in his ears. As a young boy, Paul would accompany his mother to Downtown Los Angeles to bring food and clothes to his uncle on skid row. Remembering how good he felt when he gave food and clothing to the less fortunate; it was a feeling of accomplishment. This feeling stayed with Paul as he grew up.

Pauly's Project strives to improve the lives of homeless individuals and families in the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles by donating food, water, and essential supplies on a monthly basis.

This performance is made possible, in part, by the support of AARP, The Green Foundation, and The Norris Foundation.
