The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) assembled four of their finest string players just for Grand Performances; Connie Kupka, David Speltz, Brendan Speltz, and Florence Titmus, will deliver a program of classics, new music and festive fare that demonstrates their nimble versatility, virtuosity, and joie de vivre. Compositions by Schubert, Gershwin, and Mozart are part of tonight's program.
Supernova premieres a four-movement piece titled "Suite for Los Angeles." Composed and performed by the ensemble – Jacob Szekely, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Paul Jacob Cartwright, and Robert Anderson – with added loops, pedals, and electronics.
